Lillie Road

This new build circa 80 bed hotel development in Fulham, London is designed to meet a very exacting brief from a major hotel operator.

Precise specifications for room sizes and layouts, along with party wall and boundary restrictions on a tight site lead to a very constrained design. We have developed a structural solution that meets the typical requirements of a hotel building (for example acoustic separation and minimised structural depth) whilst also allowing flexibility of column positions to fit around the room layouts.

We have also investigated structural options to support the masonry façade over an unusually wide cavity, which again is driven by onerous thermal and acoustic requirements from the operator. We have worked in close conjunction with the various disciplines in the design team, and specialist product suppliers to develop the optimum façade solution.
