DMag directors Malcolm Archer and Gareth Davies had the pleasure of attending UKREiiF in Leeds this year: Malcolm as a return attendee, and Gareth for the first time.

It was a fantastic event wrapped around the Leeds Armouries Museum and canal basin. We managed to attend a number of panellists talks and interviews covering sustainability in construction, development in London along with development in the Oxford and Cambridge areas to feedback to our regional offices.

Attendance levels were high for the three days giving us some great ad hoc opportunities to re-connect with colleagues, along with making some interesting new connections. Plus the lunch, coffee and evening dinners / drinks meetings arranged, all leading to improved step count and sore feet….

There was far too much to cover in the summary but some of the highlights were:

+  Some interesting relaxed industry chat over an amazing gourmet curry lunch attended by a number of our collaborators

+ Re-learning to cope without a mobile phone for most of the day (reception was challenging to say the least)

+ Catching up with so many people in the space of such a short time

+  Great evening receptions to attend, including Gareth getting to see one of his previous residential developments in the Leeds Canal Basin he worked on almost 20 years ago…

+  Plenty of really interesting indoor panel interviews/presentations to escape some of the showers
