Last week, DMag hosted The Engineer’s Reuse Collective first ever Site Seeing Social at Galvanise (469 Bethnal Green Road). The evening was a chance for members to explore the building – a rare opportunity to get up close to the final results of this successful reuse project. The expressed architecture meant the details of the structural solution were fully visible, both the retained existing structure and the new extension.

We also heard from Director Nina Heavyside about the challenges that had to be overcome to deliver the project, alongside geotechnical engineers A-squared Studio and MEP engineers Webb Yates.
